This
small (population 85000) and beautiful city has a much checkered
history, much of it woven around it’s the baths around
the springs. The natural hot springs have provided healing
to people right from before the middle ages to the later 18th
century. It has also been a genteel and fashionable place where

is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Bath’s
